J channel is the piece of trim that mounts to the structure at the wall and holds the soffit panel in place.
J channel gets fastened to the building in a number of ways. Masonary nails are used to fasten to brick, while screws and nails are used to fasten to wood.
Each J channel is 12 ft. long and measures 1 5/8" x 1/2" x 3/4" and is made from .019" pre-painted aluminum.
